Nawh, it's heading in for Brownville, south of Corpus Christi.

We may get an inch of rain from it, but that'S 550 miles from Dallas.

happy dance HI Brenda!

they put one of my favorite toys back on the weather web page.

http://www.wral.com/weather/hurricanes/

last weekend it looked like we were going to get some Cristobal.
you can click on Cristobal and see the actual path it took.

Richard has the potential to get some Dolly, but the projected path
makes that look to be a slim chance. we did have a really really
nice rain here this afternoon and this Farm got 1.25 inches of needed
rain. the timing was prefect since I spend the morning walking a 5
acre soybean field with a 4 gallon backpack sprayer doing touch up on
that &*^$*& morning glory weed.. the herbicide had the required 2 hours
to become rain proof before it rained. happy dance on that since someone
decided to double the price of the herbicide and its now way to expensive
to waste, not that I was wasting it before.

got to see my brother and we had lunch together today. he is on vacation.

yep, it sure was a wonderful day. the Glory belongs to my Father, the Lord
God Almighty.

Brenda, I hope you had a really nice day also.

The weather channel looked like you were getting some strong storms
yesterday but said the same thing,
the rain was still badly needed. We're getting round 459275 here this
morning. It's been a year for them.

It's been a violent summer weather wise.

oh yea, the rain here yesterday did contain some areas of strong wind.
one weather station recorded a wind gust of 58 mph and another recorded
one of 49 mph. two homes were on the 11:00 PM news because they had
large trees blown down on them and sustained substantial damage.

I can see your area on this radar:
http://www.wral.com/weather/radar/?m=ohiovalley&p=still
and ya'll sure have had your share of the rain this year.
beats last years drought for sure in my book.

we do have what is shaping up to be round two for this afternoon. right
now there is a band of storms showing areas of red on the radar. I like
the yellow myself. yellow equals a nice down pour at a rate where most
is allowed time to soak in rather than run off.

got more work done on the tree clean up job where I decided to cut
two sweet gum trees down that were looming over the shop. one more good
work day and I believe the task will be completed.

best 2U Brenda,
Jim

How did y'all fare, Jim? I wasn't able to send posts yesterday. They all
ended up in cyber space somewhere instead of going through.

a lot of our posting access delays have to do with an ever increasing
demand for network bandwidth. more and more people are getting DSL or
some other form of high speed internet access and with the increasing
popularity of things such as utube traffic congestion is causing delays
to the point where some data request time out before they are executed.

the storms formed a line of red on the doppler radar moving towards
us from the south. just as they were about 4 miles away they lost
their punch and a nice long slow shower of rain moved slowly over us.
lasted about an hour and a half giving us an inch of rain. then later
that night another band of red on the doppler radar moving towards us
from the northwest did the same thing and gave us another half inch of
rain. both were what farmers consider to have been a prefect rain.

today we have a mix of clouds and blue sky with a current temp of 85F.
prefect day for working on the lawn mower down at the shop. God continuing
to pour out upon me His mercy, or what I call undeserved favor because I
sure don't deserve His help, showed me what's causing the mower deck to
hang low on the right side. with all His tools and His provisions a
suitable repair has been completed and I am now up here at the house enjoying
a coffee break as well as talking to you.

I hope you are having a nice day and are able to enjoy a joy filled
wonderful weekend.

My posting issue was with connection, not demand on the server. :)
Glad the storms weren't too bad.

I heard that one Texan boy rode to town, shouting with Joy, "She is
coming. She is coming, Dolly is coming to town." A man replied,
"Poor boy, you are thinking of the wrong Dolly. This one is mean, has
no boobs and farts like a bitch."

encouragement is the result of allowing love to live and prosper
in ones heart. being able to find something positive to say is
far better than to say those things designed to hurt another.

though we do not speak directly on a regulate and consistent
schedule your positive ideology constantly occupies a place in
my mind from which I can draw upon to provide upliftings from
moments of despair and I thank you Yahya for that peace you project.
