Yeah, so far. Some idiot decided that it was so cool to start a fire,
he did it eight times. It may be cool on the big screen, but not when
people's lives are at stake. Thank God for neighbors and fire-
fighters.

But it is dry heat, right!. Think about it. Without moisture, heat
cannot reach shadows. So shadows can be more than 20 degrees cooler
than under the sun. Ok, I know, 120-20=100, but it is as least dry
heat! I remember when I was about 11, my oldest brother came to Iran
for a visit and brought his wife and daughter with him. He left for
America when I was only 4, and this was the first time I had seen him
since. Anyway, we all got into the car and left to see the historical
sites like Shiraz and Esfahan. On the way south to Shiraz,we began to
see the scenery change from green to brown. Vehicles changes from
Mecedes to Camels, and the temperature kept on going up, likr gas
prices. We finally got to Shiraz and went to our hotel. We didn;t
get to see much of the beautiful Shiraz though. The next day most of
us were as sick as dogs because of heat poisoning. The funny thing is
that while we were there, we met a few Arabs who had come to Shiraz
because of it's cooler climate!

And he says "cold rain" as if it's a bad thing. If nothing else, it
makes a darn good ice-tea. Michael, just make sure to treat the first

That's been the issue here. Not the heat but the storms. Wind and rain.
We've not been hit as hard as the midwest but 15 counties were declared
disaster areas here.
Tornados have been seen rotating in the clouds but only a couple have
touched down since I wrote the post.
