You should be asking this in comp.protocols.time.ntp
AIR the performance is hardware dependant.
PPS is part of NTP, so it improves the performance of NTP with a local
clock, such as a GPS receiver; it does not replace NTP.
What kind of accuracy are you looking to achive?
