Wont the insulation layer be so thin that it will have effectively zero
effect on heat loss or gain ??

This stuff or similar is available here in NZ also, but I cannot see how it
would make difference, am in the process of renovating a house and doing
lots of painting. Still not tempted to buy it.

I looked at the website for the product. It is not really an insulator. It is
a reflector, like aluminum foil. Anyway it makes paint behave like aluminum
foil, reflecting radiant heat.
