Solar Decathlon - A competition for world's greatest solar power homes!

Not sure if folks are aware of this one. I came across this website
www.solardecathlon.org yesterday. What a cool competition featuring
some very cool solar power homes!

What I like is that all competing designs had to be 100% off-the-grid,
i.e. no relying on utilities at all, and even generate enough excess
solar electricity to charge batteries of an electric car.

It doesn't hurt that the homes are cutting edge in architectural
thought and look great too :)
