I wonder how much we'll spend researching this project.... and how many solar panels could be erected with those funds.

I mean, a $3 a watt, you could buy a ton of solar panels and throw them up in Arizona...

It has been stated by a few that the pollution created by solar panel
manufacturing outweighs any pollution savings from the usage of the PV
panels. Apparently the pollutants are very nasty stuff, also.

Perhaps we can manufacture the PV panels in space and leave the pollutants
out there? OH wait! We don't need a dust cover for the earth or... do we?
It might slow down the supposed "Globe-Al warming".

Perhaps with enough panels we could turn Arizona desert areas into mushrooms
farms and make double duty usage of the land?
