Also have a battery charger, but has 120v input
I could be able to connect the solar panel's clips to the battery
charger wall plug
but it's only 12v coming out of the pv panel, and not 120 like the
wall socket
So a longer time charging, or will the input for the ac charger not
accept the 12v current

Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!!
Please Phill. This level of education just amazes me.
Just clip the panels (in parallel if you want to use more than one) to
the battery you want to charge (I am supposing it is a 12v automotive
battery), and put the 120v charger safely in the cupboard until you
need it!
I've made quite a number of assumptions about your panels, but I
imagine they are quite small - probably the type used for "battery
maintenance". Its unlikely you would need any sort of charge
controller should a few days at a time.
I suggest you might like to read a bit about basic circuits (eg series
and parallel connection) on the web, and how to connect solar panels
to batteries. But don't be bamboozled by exotic systems if all you
want to do is put a little charge into a car battery.
Sorry if I sound a bit "tichy".
