Ok so that's about as humiliating as it kan get! A kat witha mouse problem BUT it's the computer mouse!!
Ok problem is that all of a sudden my wireless mouse has stopped working unless the receiver is within about 10 inches.

just done the old F on the big kat computer after a major fail! Strange fing is, is that a friend bought a computer round with an identical problem. Basically the computer fails to load and you go to the BSOD screen telling you it's shut down to protect itself and no amount of recovery was possible... more »

Blinding flash *********

There I was busy putting the touches to this blasted thing and a blinding flash was seen..
One of my 'surge protectors' started making the frying egg and bacon sound so that was removed, then 2 different NAS units on 2 different (other) protectors stick 2 fingers up.
