I very much doubt it being a driver problems UNLESS......you have something
else plugged in to another USB port which is being mis identified.
I've got a Logitech Comfort Cordless Keyboard and mouse, no added drivers,
with that I've also got a cordless Logitech trackball, no drivers added and
to top it all I have a corded (USB) Kensington Pro trackball (which
supposedly doesn't work with Windows 7) working as well, all with no extra
drivers, just letting Windows do it's thing.
I am 99.99% certain you will find it's either a hardware issue (old and worn
out, mind you the logitech trackball is nearly 10 years old now) or an RF
issue.
Sorry blaming drivers is the easy way out.
Bet you haven't tried using it with the other computer have you.....
