who got chewed on is in a hospital with 75% of his face torn away. He's

LOL. Sorry, that just hit me as really funny.

The drug in question is mephedone, it is similar to crystal meth. It has never been a bath salt, or used as a bath salt, it was simply sold that way in Britain and other countries and the name stuck. The basic chemical is not permitted in the US. If you want to know what it is, look it up, I'm not going to tell people how to make drugs.

It was also sold as plant food.

Perhaps, if you read more, you would learn these things.

The fact is, you can turn just about anything into a drug with a minimum of effort. What is scary is that the drug folk have gone from growing garbage in foreign countries to hiring chemists right out of school.

Where do you think meth came from to begin with? The idiots in the Grand Obstructionist Party seem to think you can just ban whever chemical they use to create it (in that case, cold medicines). It doesn't work, not when you can go online and find out how to make it.

Of course, it DOES tend to explode while being made, but...

It is nasty stuff, no doubt about that. And, like crystal meth, is probably not in the least bit pure.

For obvious reasons, I'm not going to go into detail on how you make it, but probably ten minutes of searching would find you a "recipe". Mostly, it is made with lye and heat. Like crystal meth, doing it wrong, or in the wrong order, or using too much heat or base (lye is a strong base) will result in an explosion. Even not doing it wrong can contaminate a house for years.
