Let us weigh the gain and the loss in wagering that God is.
If you gain, you gain it all, if you lose, you lose nothing.
Wager then without hesitation that He is.

There is plenty to lose in wagering that God is. One might end up with
the wrong God. A Christian believer might upon confronting the
Almighty at the end of his life might hear, "My name is Allah. You
picked the wrong God. You're going to burn."

According to each religion, it's not enough to believe in God. One
must believe the right one.

Also, it's not enough to believe in the right God. One must follow all
those savage and barbaric laws He insists on imposing on us all.
There's plenty to lose.

Let us weigh the gain and the loss in wagering that Thor is.
If you gain, you gain a spot in the battle of Ragnarok at the
end of time, if you lose, you lose nothing. Wager then without
hesitation that He is.

Loirbaj, having a religion is like having a penis.

It's okay to have one, and it's okay to be proud of it.

But don't go showing it into strangers' faces...

Ah, but don't forget "Homer Simpson's Wager": What if we're worshiping
the wrong God, and every time we go to church HE gets madder and madder?

Providing that
(1) there is a god and
(2) that god approves of your merely betting on its existence
