Obama Spokesman Responds To Iraq 'Faux Flip-Flop' Story

Andrea Mitchell began the interrogation by stipulating that "It wasn't the
media saying it, it was the McCain campaign that went after him for it." And
she's right! It's the media that's not applying scrutiny to the matter! That
lack of scrutiny shows up in her first question: "How do you reassure your
original supporters, the anti-war left, that you aren't flip-flopping?" What
Mitchell either doesn't realize or refuses to admit is that it's not just
the "anti-war left" that wants withdrawal from Iraq - it's a position firmly
supported by mainstream America.
It appears to me that John McCain is talking closer to Obama's points than
the other way around.
Of course, McCain actually wants to go to war with Iran, so what he says is
just so much hot air.
McCain has gone from occupying Iraq for 100 years, to being out 2013, to the
surge is working and we may be bringing most of the troops home sooner than
later. Of course the media doesn't pay any attention to these huge
differences in McCain's speeches day to day, but let Obama use one word
different, that being refine my policy to meet the immediate needs, and the
press goes ballistic. Of course, that's the way it is with all things Obama
and McCain. Obama is raked over the coals for all his words, and McCain is
just ignored for all his many multitudes of policy changes. It really is
pathetic.

Al-Maliki told Bush stick his Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) where
the sun don't shine. Bush thought he could force the next administration
to stay in Iraq. What an idiot!
Both Obama and Hillary said they would pull out the US forces from Iraq
if asked to leave. Here is the opportunity knocking.
