Philadelphia Inquirer Editor: Obama Disgracing Those Who Suffered or Died
Wearing Uniform

By Steve Young

Created Jul 6 2008 - 1:24pm

This Sunday morning, Philadelphia Inquirer Asst Editor, Kevin Ferris, once
again went talk radio all over the Philadelphia Inquirer opinion pages, [1]
able to spin Gen. Wesley Clark's response to a question concerning John
McCain's readiness as president into a hyperbolic hit piece surmising that
Clark "denigrated the uniform" and that Barack Obama will "use the uniform
as needed, disgracing those who suffered or died wearing it."

Wow. Might as well pen Ferris in as Bill O'Reilly's fill in.

What Ferris chose to leave out was the context of Clark's response where
Face The Nation host, Bob Schieffer noted that Obama had not "ridden in a
fighter plane and gotten shot down." Clark said, ""Well, I don't think
riding in a fighter plane and getting shot down is a qualification to be
president."

Nor did he include Clark's preface to his response, including..."I certainly
honor his service as a prisoner of war. He was a hero to me and to hundreds
of thousands and millions of others in the armed forces, as a prisoner of
war."

Wow #2. Disgrace, thy name be honor. Or visa versa.

The Constitution is a wacky, kinda living, kinda not, document that explains
just what we Americans can get away with. It also frames the conditions
within which one can run for the position where one American can get away
with the most - President of the United States of America. And Clark's
comments were not a denigration of the uniform, but a reflection of the
document that our troops have fought and died to protect for over 200 years.

Yet Clark stood at the last simple-minded dummycrat convention and
expounded mightely about the military service of John Fraud Kerry and
how that meant he would be a great President. Yet we know of the fraud
of John Kerry and his military service and the denigrating of his
fellow vets in front of Congress after he came home.

Osama Obama is an anti-white, racists empty suit with big ears. No
disrespect intended to suit hangers or donkeys.

Where's the "Wes Clark Disgracing ..." article ?

His REAL message - "Combat Service Means Exactly Dick".

Which is really odd, since Clark used HIS military rank
and experience as a "something" which made HIM worthy to
pontificate in front of the press. So I guess military
experience is worth dick, UNLESS you're Wes Clark.

May every soldier turn their rump towards him thrice a
day and fart in his general direction. Fer sure he just
lost Obama the votes of every ex-soldier and their
relatives ....

General Clark does not have to kiss anyone's ass for stating the
obvious. Being a prisoner does not qualify you for commanding
experience. Being in a coma for 2 years does not make you a medical

Lying again, Buzzy. Clark spoke at length, not only of Kerry's
indisputable heroism (indisputable except to right wing scum trying to
pass themselves off as normal decent people), but his long public
service.

McCain? Well, he spent a bunch of time as POW, which while heroic
didn't exactly count as military service, and has had a
less-than-steller run in the Senate.

Ah, but you forgot one: Where was Barack Obama? Since
you wholeheartedly subscribe to the 'chickenhawk' narrative,
it's a fair question.

Perhaps you'd like to backpedal and mutter that the Founders
felt it vital to have a civilian Commander in Chief. It will not help,
but at least you would appear to have a clue.

Go on. Do go on.

Getting three Purple Hearts for minor scratches so he could get out of
Nam, then coming home and denigrating his fellow vets by telling lies
about them to congress certainly didn't qualify John Fraud Kerry for
commanding experience, but that certainly did not stop Clark saying
what a hero John Fraud Kerry was and how all that war non-experience
would make him a great President.

It is? Guess you haven't been paying any attention to the news lately.
Even the left-wing news networks are reporting about how well things
are in Iraq. Even Maliki, the PM of Iraq now says the U.S. can set a
time table for withdrawing troops.

BAGHDAD — Iraq's prime minister said yesterday that the government
has defeated terrorism in the country, a sign of growing confidence
after recent crackdowns against Sunni extremists and Shiite militias.

Such attacks plagued Iraq after the U.S.-led invasion, but violence in
the country has now fallen to its lowest level in four years. The
change has been driven by the 2007 BUILDUP OF AMERICAN FORCES (the
surge you libs keep blabbering about that you claim failed), the Sunni
tribal revolt against Al Qaeda in Iraq and al-Maliki's crackdowns,
among other factors.

"Under the national unity government, the Iraqis have achieved
national feats ... that are now lighting the course of our march," al-
Maliki said.

Bolstered by this confidence, al-Maliki plans to visit the United Arab
Emirates today and also Italy and Germany later in the month —
apparently hoping that improved security at home will pay dividends in
greater international support.

Iraq is also enjoying a surge in oil revenue driven by record crude
prices and the highest production levels since Saddam's ouster. The
government expects to make a total of $70 billion from oil in 2008 if
prices stay high.

Planning to put some of this money to work, the Iraqi government held
a groundbreaking ceremony yesterday for a major project to refurbish
the main road to the Baghdad airport. The road was once considered one
of the most dangerous in the world but has become safer with the
decline in violence in the country.

Nay. The Junior Milby is just a reactionary, ultraconservative,

Nope, he's a retired Floridian who spews this crap on Usenet because
he knows it gets a rise out of people. He does it for kicks. I'd say
ignore his stupid and racist posts (97% of his posts) but pay
attention to his political posts where he discusses the race
rationally.

Just because he isn't missing limbs, like the Bush assembly line is

Yea I have to members close to my family who are serving in Iraq. Bush
never had that experience of 'serving' in WAR, in the guard, like they
are doing. They might not make it, that's just a fact. Bush doesn't
care about their mothers, or respect their service in Iraq. That is a
fact also. I hope they make it,

Bush doesn't care about what happens with Iraq, the day he leaves

They think the same tactics will work this time, and they don't
realize that the GOP lost whatever moral authority it once had. They
can huff all they want about blow jobs, but eventually they have to
answer questions about torture, corporate malfeasance, and the
encroachment on rights. They can smear to their heart's content, but
they still have to come to grips with the fact that their entire
philosophy is built on cowardice: they spy on people because they fear
us, they don't talk to adversaries because they are afraid, and they
oppose public control of the airwaves because they fear ideas that are
better than theirs.

Many people make their own worlds on the internet, particularly
usenet. Some hacker types here use, lets just say some are the ones
who change names all the time.

> >I don't believe

Ok, if I cannot come up with something immediately, it's not my place
to say that. I'll put it on the burner, or forget about it or, look
through some posts, past or future.

> >because your motives are purely anti-Democrat, in the

I hear you, but everybody has their political definitions of what is
what. My favorite Democrat is today, is John Hickenlooper, mayor of
Denver. He is a business owner, owns pretty good sized successful
brewery, and bar food places. He is about the most liberal one could
possibly get, but he's effective.

He brought pride and revitalized the city, never had any political
experience before. Now after a nice dinner people can walk though the
well lit clean parks without getting mugged, generally, can walk down
what was the crack
head and drunk streets. The streets are clean because the city
provides nice clean looking green trash cans
nearly everywhere.

He downsized the many parts of the previous Democrats bloated thug
punk government, he did get threats of sorts, but when all was said
and done he cleaned up the business as usual scumbag lazy city worker
way a running government.

It's more efficient, does more with less without undue burden on any
section.

>
> If JFK was alive today he'd have voted for Bush....

Yea I'm not too familiar with him.

> Today's Democrats aren't REAL Democrats. They're a weird mixture of
> Euro-Socialists, Neo-Socialists, Marxists, etc.

Yea, like I said, everybody defines politics their own way, but I will
say there are many Democrats that
are just worthless self-serving ass-munches. They would be better of
if they and their position wasn't there.

If a person is worthless in a position, often the position is also. Or
they are paid waaay too much.

> Classic Democrats and classic Republicans BOTH despise today's
> Socialist Democrats.

I consider Bush like the scumbag Democrat I was talking about. But the
Democrat was scumbag well liked and got elected to an extra term, that
violated the Colorado Constitution. At the very end of his term, he
said it was finally time to work for the people. He literally got
elected because he was black. Surely not on his performance.

Like Hickenlooper, Obama talks of working for the people. I saw him in
congress, before he was very well known,
tell ya, if you like politicians who serve the people and not
themselves, then he is the guy.

If you care to, you can google hickenlooper, Denver is where the
Democrat acceptance and convention will be.

Not so fun after Bush hijacked it.

Cheney and Rove just got
> deferments, even when they were supposed to sign up for the draft.

> So explain to us, how can you attack Obama and let Bush off with a big
> wet kiss?

Cause of the (D) before his name. And the (R) before Bush's. Google
Tom Alciere, in google groups google web, about killing cops, he said
he would prove that even with all he says, that running under
Republican,
that the Republicans would mindlessly elect him. Even with his well
known, at least to usenet "kill a cop" mentality, they elected him. He
resigned later, seems to me, when we told him to serve the people or
quit. Because he wasn't doing anything effective.

I am fully aware that as an American, that I have to vote for who I
think will best serve the city, state, country and it's people. If
that means Republicans, that's just just perfectly fine.

If these cocksuckers don't vote for anything, just against, they
shouldn't be fucking voting.

Like the slogan, vote for change, I say vote for change. or don't
vote. Hey great bumper sticker that might be.

right, you know that it's just john kerry who got erroneously awarded
the purple heart, all the other recipients were properly validated.
how exactly did that happen? fact is, all those purple heart
recipients are suspect in your book, no matter how much you'd like to
differentiate between the ones whose politics you approve of and the
ones you don't.

To a slightly (very slightly) lesser degree, but YES they do.

Yep, that's true!

Google imposes a posting limit so they need multiple accounts to be
able to post as much as they want.

And then I have this annoying HABIT of catching them LYING and
blasting that FACT repeatedly which renders that name I caught lying
useless so they get a new one....

Find some time and go look... You'll find the most absolutely
outrageous collection of Subject Lines, then untouched complete news
articles, then ZERO lies from me.

Isn't that part of the problem? When the Democrats began moving
toward the ultra-left, the Socialist Left, they called themselves
"liberal" as a contrast to traditional conservatives. When
traditional conservatives successfully turned "liberal" into a nasty
four-letter word the same Democrats started calling themselves
"progressive."

Its not "everybody has their political definitions of what is what"
but rather an intentional effort to hide who they really are and what
their true agenda is.

My personal opinion is that its a disgraceful insult to shit on JFK's
party name.

Yep. We're bloated with worthless gov't-payroll jobs...

In the America, the way America was originally designed, there are
very serious limits to serving the people. Generally when serving
some of the people is a burden on some of the other people you've gone
too far. And generally Americans are suppossed to serve themselves.

Those original American concepts are totally lost on Obama. He was
raised as a Muslim in a non-American country, and his later years were
based almost entirely on being served.

Denver is also where the Negro National Anthem was most recently used
to insult 78% of America........

Go to or.politics and see eugene the child stalker, his names change
all the time, but it's the same anti-democrat worthless fuck, who
stalks little kids.

If sombody shot him in the head, I would spit on him. He posts, like
duhhhh, 300 post a day, way more than that, less, he boasts as being
patriotic, but has never said anything remotely 'patriotic.'.

Or maybe

You post all you want, I don't really care, I merely mentioned the
google count.

Um, back to the, maybe anti-liberals served, maybe they didn't. But
they are anti-liberal, nothing more.

ya know, in the military, rank means something. a general dressing
down a colonel (the equivalent of McCain's navy captain rank) for
overstepping his rank is neither unusual nor automatically
unjustified.
