Redding California Bethel Church joins war against the poor

I must admit to my utter shock and sadness after listening to Redding
Police Chief Robert Paoletti on a recent KCNR Radio show with Carl and
Linda Bott, and their utter disregard for the civil and constitutional
rights of our local homeless.


Apparently, according to Chief Paoletti, volunteers from Bethel will
join members of the Redding Police Department to "cut high grass and
low hanging branches" so homeless cannot hide in all the known
homeless camps.


Shocking for the fact that a huge Christian Church is joining forces
to help destroy homeless camp areas where homeless find basic survival
and refuge. Have folks at Bethel forgot about the Bible in their quest
for glory clouds, fire tunnels, feathers and gold dust? Don't you
remember that "friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever
therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of
God?"
