It was disclosed this morning that the military will ask congress for
ANOTHER $100BILLION to prosecute its wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, bringing
the total up to nearly half a TRILLION dollars, with no end in sight. One
can only speculate what this expenditure might have delivered if it had been
spent on measures like securing our borders, making Social Security solvent,
or providing healthcare for all Americans. Instead, we have squandered it
pursuing the very policies responsible for generating hatred for us in the
first place. Nor can we blame one tyrant like George W. Bush for the
problem-the 40% or so of Americans that still support these policies are
squarely responsible, and these cretins DESERVE the rancor of every Muslim
jihadist bent on killing Americans. Too bad the more enlightened among us
must inevitably suffer along with the criminals who are actually
responsible.
