Can you email me at Relay...@aol.com? It's a question I would
normally put out on the board but we have this troll and the answer is
extremely important for certain reasons I'd rather not ask here. It's
only one question.
Thanks.
I've a solid Demo myself:)
No. You're a solid leftist, socialist who is able to survive only
because we have a govenment that takes money from productive people who
earn it, and that turns around and gives it to lazy, unproductive
parasites like you.
And what would you suggest taking the current government's place? Are you
just wanting to get rid of the ones we have so we won't risk voting them in
again? Or are you wanting something altogether new and unusual? I'm always
interested in knowing this.
I am a moderate and totally undecided aboout everything. I really am.
I have voted dem and pub since I could vote except I did vote for
Perot. Since I have been able to vote, I have voted:
Carter
Reagan
Bush
Perot
Clinton
Gore
Kerry
Obama
So I am middle of the road, except the last one, which is pretty left.
But I would vote for both Reagan or Clinton again. The dem's have put
up some pretty weak candidates lately but considering the alternative,
I didn't see a choice, especially in 2000
Remeber the show Family Ties? I grew up in a similar family except the
differences were in parents. My Mom was left and my Dad right. As an
example, she got her Masters degree from the University of Illinois
Chicago in Sociology during the 68 convention here. Where as my Dad is
very right wing. Kinda conflicting in influences.
LOL... well, good luck with that because without any form of government, SS
would not exist.
> I am a moderate and totally undecided aboout everything. I really am.
I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were
either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm, neither hot nor
cold, I am about to spit you out of my mouth.

I want people who understand the constitution and laws of the US,
the best interests of the US, and pursue the same. I have seen very
VERY little of this from anyone lately. Oh, some political commenators
have things to say that are awesome, but they're in the entertainment
biz.... I wrote Rush ages ago when we both were up and coming radio
guys and asked why he never ran. His reply was that he was just an
entertainer.... dumbass.....
The people of this country must be made to understand that foreign
goods make foreign jobs, you cannot have it all, and that we do not
owe the world a living. Call me an isolationist or protectionist or
whatever, but this country cannot continue if the only thing we
manufacture is consumers.
Now whereinhell are my blood pressure pills??????
I have a rant about consumerism that I won't get into. I would say we're in
agreement, though.
I'm still wondering exactly how to get rid of the politicians who are
idiots. I'm not talking about people we may or may not like becasue of our
own given political positions. I'm talking about people who are outright
idiots. By extentions, it also includes idiots appointed to various
high-powered government positions. We have the vote. I don't want to give up
my right to vote. I want to be able to pick who goes into office. I don't go
for the commentators/entertainers because in many respects, I believe the
media is just as much to blame for the current state of our political
affairs. I've often thought one of many reasons we get so many idiots in
office is because we now expect our politicians to look pretty for
television (i.e. politics has become more entertainment than politics). I
also believe the cost of running for politics (the media bliz required)
excludes so many truly good candidates. There is much more.
I suppose we can only hope the younger generation does better than we did,
eh?
Thanks to a system that allows shit-for-brains mental retards like James
Hodges (Six String Stu) to vote.

What a pathetic outlook/perspective and what a STUUUUUUUUUUUUUPID thing to
say. How about, "It's time that we take the initiative and fix what we
previously f___ed up." If you are looking for the so-called "younger"
generation to fix things, you are totally useless and perhaps you should do
yourslf in right now.

Too bad that you don't practice the message that you preach, as is well
documented in your posts in alt.music.home-studio. I think that the word
for it is hypocrisy.
People are allowed to be moderates last time I looked, but I have
democratic leanings. I simply not a big fan of recessions, which seem
to happen, with the exception of Carter, every time a repunlican comes
into office. 1983, 1990, 2001, 2006 etc. etc. I voted for Perot, while
he turned out to be a fruitcake, at that particular time in my life, I
believed the government should be run in the same manner as a
business. All told, I have probably laid off 500 people total in the
various recessions. I had to lay off (fire) an entire remote office on
Christmas Eve (which led me to quit that employer 3 weeks later out of
sheer principle).
This country offers opportunity to those who work hard and focus on
the bottom line. Illness happens though and when it does, if you have
been paying into an insurance policy tremendous amounts of money, you
expect to be able to collect on your premium.
Yep
OK, correlation does not equal causation; but this is modestly
humorous. Over the last century, any time you had a multi-term GOP
president (in other words, long enough to do real damage) you had a
pretty substantial collapse in the banking industry (i.e., near
fundamental economic collapse).

99% of these people in this country have no concept of the
difference between need and want. That is FUBAR.

Ain't gonna happen. People are fundamentally selfish. My
philosophy is pretty much summed up in two books; the Bible and PJ
O'Rourke's "Parliament of Whores".

I dunno. I think that the gubmint, Dems and Reps both love
big business. That is insane. They should outlaw lobbying, it's
killing us all, no matter who is in the WH. Bankers are extremely
destructive because people in power are usually crazy and bankers can
do the most damage economically. But the fact remains that the people
have voted for, encouraged and tolerated all of this insanity.
I agree the lobbyist need to be reigned in.

Yeah, how the heck does anything get done if the politicians have
endless appointments with every freaking representative of every type
of business that exists on the face of the earth all day long???
They should be researching laws, statistics, history etc, not
downing doubles and steaks with suits from GE, Exxon, China, etc......
We have developed an entitled society where everyone seems to think
that they are owed the best there is, and the hell with accomplishing
anything worthwhile. And none of them bring anything to the
government/people, it's all take take take. They're driving the
country into the ground, a trillion bucks at a time. We are not
stealing our grandchildrens future, we are stealing there freedom.
Someone has to pay the piper someday. There's a 160 acre hilltop
behind my house that holds an earth-station to control this nations
ICBMs; it may never be used but this country may still be destroyed
anyway.
Foreign powers are buying our businesses, land, and even treasury
bonds. The Chinese alone own $2,000,000,000,000 in treasury bonds
(essentially US Savings Bonds) We owe them that money, and they will
be Pissed if they don't get it, or say, our farmbelt in return.
And some stupid freaking jackasses are worried about disabled
workers on SSDI sitting at home watching Judge Judy and getting
$1000/mo.
