The proposed contract is up for a vote; ballots are due May 10.
Everyone in my office is voting against ratification, and from what I
hear, most people in the plant are against it.

The reason most people cite is the part about Non-traditional Full
Time Employees. The Service can abolish a job and put up a job in its
place but with fewer hours. Or, the job could have as many as 48
hours in a week, with no overtime.

How are people nationwide voting on this?

48 hours a week with no overtime? I guess I misunderstood. I thought it
was changed from overtime after 8 hours on a single day to overtime after
40 hours in a single week.

Or was that the carriers' contract only and you're talking about clerks?

If the organization I work for was headed down the shitter as fast as the
USPS, I'd consider a little more flexibility here.

I don't know a thing about the carriers' contract. I'm a clerk and
I'm talking about the APWU contract, which is up for a vote this
month.
