I posted recently that I was back to the pipe after 3 years.
I've been going through my modest collection of tobaccos.

But Revelation is SO GOOD.

Dos that make me lame? I've seen it called a drugstore tobacco.

If I love this, what else should I try?

A lot of people consider Revelation the worst tobacco ever made, I like it.
Like what you smoke, smoke what you like and to hell with what other
people think.

More for me! :)

Revelation is a real heinz mix. It has a little of everything in it.
I didn't care for Revelation. I don't know why, maybe it was that it
was to ....mixed up. Nothing really stood out with me. It has latakia,
but I never could sense it. Nothing really stood out. Not a bad smoke
for me, just not great. If you like it, smoke the hell out of it. With
everything that is out there, it can be difficult to find your true
"holy grail". Don't limit yourself. Try it all.

Casing is typically applied to the tobacco during curing. Topping is
applied to a blend during or after the blending process. Of course
this can be subjective. A flake is a blend in itself that is created
at the time of pressing/curing. It may or may not be cased, it may or
may not be topped. Casing may or may not be a flavor or aromatic
additive, and might be used to aid in the process of curing or
fementation. Cavendish comes to mind here.
A humectant that is used to keep the tobacco moist can also have
toppings in it. Tobacco blending can seem to be as much alchemy as it
is pure science/art. Some of GLP's blends
Please, any tobbaconist out there, feel free to correct me.

So many blends, so little time.
Mitch, I urge you to peruse the content at http://www.aspipes.org/.
There is a wonderful culmination of knowledge of all things concerning
the pipe to be found there.

I have to return to Revelation. I got some in a HOW package
and I think it was too
dry. But I wanted to try Einstein's tobacco. If you think Rev.
is good try the Over The Counter blends
commonly called drugstore blends though they aren't sold
in drugstores much anymore. Not a complete list but
try, Prince Albert, Carter Hall, Granger, Walnut, Kentucky Club,
5 Brothers, Edward G. Robinson Blend, Sir Walter Raleigh,
Half and Half,Revelation, Briggs, Country Dr., Model, Field &
Stream, etc. I used too turn up my nose and these, now a day
doesn't go by where I don't smoke a bowl of PA. or CH.Good
calming great tasting mindless blends.

Funn

Yeah, I'm trying to do that now. I have about a dozen that I had
accumulated before I quit 3 years ago, so I don't have any
recollection of them. So they are all new again.

I shouse of Windsor out of business?

Well, I'm smoking the hell out of it.
Only because I've ordered some new hermitic jars. My modest
assortment of tobaccos are dried out, so I don't want to smoke them
until I rehydrate and get them into jars.

I tried some Repose the other night, but it was so wet it burned a
hole through my tongue.

Right now, Revelation is all I've got, but it continues to be sweet.

Lost an eBay auction on a pipe I wanted. Oh, well.

Is one stronger than the other?

I agree with something I read: aromatics smell better than they
taste.

With all the cigarattes I smelled at the fireworks tonight, I REALLY
wish I'd brought a pipe.
