I've recently moved to Bellingham, Washington and I've been trying to
locate a cigar bar or lounge. There's something suggesting someone's
been trying to get one going at http://bellinghamcigarclub.com/, but
there doesn't seem to have been any updates since early March. What am
I missing?

Washington state has some of the most draconian anti smoking laws in the entire country. I live in Seattle and our Seattle Pipe Club meets in Fife WA on tribal land -- not in Seattle -- because it's the only place nearby where we can meet and smoke.

I'd suggest checking into the local tribal facilities, you will probably find something on the Lummi reservation, for example.

Now, now, it's for your own good, and for the good of the children;
instead of smoking a bowl of tobacco, you should run for a mile.

(while i step outside for a smoke...)

I'm not near Bellingham, but I've had moderate success using
http://www.meetup.com to find other cigar enthusiasts and their haunts.

Good luck! Let us know what you find.

Lots of good cigar info, the ASC Birthday page, FAQs, vendors and more at
<http://www.ManyFriends.com/Cigars/>
A "great" review is one with the name of the cigar before the review
text in the body of the post. :)

As my dear departed daddy used to say: If running is so good for you,
howcum I've never seen a jogger smiling?

Welcome to ASP Misc...wonder how this thread got cross posted to
ASC......I'm wondering....how is it like states such as I think
Wash....Cali...Colo...think it is such a great Idea to smoke pot but not
baccy....you go in a bookshop and there is no mags about cigars or
pipes...but 2 or 3 dedicated to smoking pot... in most states it is not
permitted.........I wonder about a lot of things....we live in a fucked
up USA IMHO...glad I'm getting old cause I don't wanna see what the USA
will look like in 50 years....:)

The OP crossposted to both groups and Ted crossposted his response ...
really quite simple to realize if your actually looking at what is
going on.
