Paul...if it was a woman, I would say I am in love--and at our age
thats something. 3 Friars is absolutely delightful. NOW, I DO let it
dry out a lot...till crispy but that is me. I hate the steam and
greenness that comes with some these Virginias...and letting it dry
out fully, simply takes that away. No tongue burn, and more smoke than
I can stand. The flavor is wonderful. Highly recco it to you...I have
normally not been a fan of such straight US type Virginias...lean
heavy on the Brit style...but this one done dry, is wonderful...headed
back to Aprt now for same...bests to you...

Greetings Paul, Mary L, and Night Owls,
Great to see both of you here!

Just lighting my final bowl of the day ..........
GL Pease's Union Square in an Upshall bulldog.
A cuppa (Lipton loose leaf) in the mug and reading
"Stalingrad" The fateful sege: 1942 -- 1943
by Antony Beevor.

This is one heck of a VA (IMO), just exactly what a VA
should be, It blows FVF out of the water IMHO . . .
I really think this is the best VA I've sampled and will cellar
this in mass quantities.
Usually, I am more of a VAPer fan--this one stands up on it's own.
Good job Greg!

Enjoy your Night Owl pipes

ML....I am wondering if it is the steam that burns the tongue so bad?
It makes sense if you dry it out then there is less water in it to
form steam when lit. I love the taste of virginias but I taught myself
to smoke it extremely slow so as not to burn myself. Even then I don't
smoke it very often.

Smoking this incredible Casbah. When I bought it it was dried out and
tasted terrible. I added, as I said before, a slice of apple and and
left it for 48 hours and the moisture came from the apple. This was
several days ago and I still haven't seen any mold
