Yes, and with my apologies, this is yet another notice regarding the
status of the 2009 ASP Zippo Pipe Lighters.

As most of you know, the Zippo factory minimum order is for 50 lighters.

We need 6 more purchases to be able to place our 2009 order.

The dead line for ordering is 12:00 midnight, December 31, 2009.

For pictures of this gorgeous lighter which celebrates the 15th
Anniversary of this newsgroup and also pictures an inveterate pipe
smoker and for ordering information go to:

Best regards to all,
Bert

Come on, folks... There have to be 6 more people that want this
lighter and can put out less than $25 for it... If I could, I'd just
order the rest, but I've already paid for enough (IIANM, the count is
3 right now... ;-)

EXCELLENT! We're almost there, folks. 4 more to go, but only 10 days
left.

Not sure what's happening here, but that makes two folks who seem to
claim to have purchased lighters but their funds have not showed up.
There is nothing on record in my PayPal account from this Bill D., and a
guy calling himself Jesse emailed me that he's sent payment for 2
lighters, but again, no record of payment. As far as I know, the count
is still at 45.

Sorry, I should have been more specific. The link on the ASP home page
on the Internet is wrong. This newsgroup (ASP) is on Usenet, but the
pictures of the lighter are on the Internet at the ASP home page. A lot
of people now think of this place as a site on the web, but it's not.
This is Usenet. They think that it is part of the Internet because they
access it from Google groups. It's kind of sad for an old timer like me
to see this, but oh well. Send the money to arto...@redsuspenders.com

Paypal says that the payment is waiting to be claimed. I sent it to
the address on the page with the lighter. It is artorius at
redsuspender dot com. Is that correct?

Nope. That was a misprint. redsuspenders dot com. Mr webmaster left
off the trailing s.

Bert: I thought you were going to plead to have that fixed? ;-)

yeah....

I've emailed the folks that got caught up in this glitch, so that should
all get straightened out.

Anyway, the count is now at 56, so we're good to go with the factory.
Ordering is still open until midnight, 12/31/09 - that's a week from
tonight.

And, my email address is artorius at redsuspenders dot com

The link says the correct email address but the text itself is wrong.
If you click on it you can email the right place but if you copy it to
paypal to send money, you get the wrong address. I got mine
straightened out but in case anyone else wants to order, I hope this
helps.
