I wrote to Kurt earlier, asking his opinion (i.e. what to do), but he
hasn't written back ... and in the meantime I've figured out what
needs to be done. The domain is in my name, and costs about $10 to
renew. (It's nine-something.) It can be done with PayPal (AFAIK), so
if someone could take it upon themselves to provide the necessary
money, I can renew it myself. My PayPal address is
rasta...@gmail.com, and I'm assuming there is no fee involved. If
there is, perhaps $11 would be better.

Yes, I know that this is short notice for a fund raiser, but I'm
hoping that it's okay, since the amount is fairly small. No, I'm not
trying to trick anyone. I'm guessing that, while I was at that "damned
group home" (TM) I was getting letters from GoDaddy reminding me to
renew, so this letter I got today is probably the latest in a series.

Anyway, I hope that we can get this done tonight or tomorrow, and I
hope all are well,

Ian

Okay, just an update. No one needs to send any money, because more
than enough has been sent. In fact, I'm going to have to send some
back, because I was having a brain fart, and didn't consider that more
than one person would donate. Long day.

Unfortunately, I can't pay GoDaddy with my PayPal account, because I
can't add my credit card to the site to be a verified PayPal member.
(Group homes require all your dough, and so bills don't get paid.) The
long and the short of it is ... well, two things:

1. Don't send any more money, and
2. I'll email the people who did donate, to find out if I can send the
money that was donated to that person's PayPal account, and give them
my login info at GoDaddy, and have them pay that way.

I know, it's crazy, but I'm just very grateful to have opened my mail
today and discovered this. I'm sure it will work itself out. Hope all

Okay, the site is paid up for two years, thanks to a helpful ASPer.
Don't know if he wants me to mention his name or not. Thanks to
everyone who helped out. ASPers really are great people.

Good to hear that you're sitting up and taking nourishment, Rastall.
Strong tea and dry toast, no doubt. I don't stick my oars in these
waters much anymore, but I do dangle a toe now and then to see who's
in swimmin'. This is a poorer place without your input, sir.

Keep le faith,

M

This place is poorer without your input as well; and, actually, I've
found that it's rather peaceful these days. Of course I did my regular
round of kf'ing, just the usual suspects, but by and large we're on
topic and civil. The water's nice!

Hope you're well,

Ian
