ago - maybe in the last 2 years. The old stuff was labeled "naptha",
the new labeled "synthetic isoparaffinic hydrocarbon"
The old stuff was fine, the new is even better. The label said it was
"clean burning, improved ignition, low odor" compared to the old, and
I agree. I could rarely taste the old fluid when I lit my pipe, I
can't taste the new at all.
As to burn properties, I don't notice any difference.
Perhaps the flint wheel on you lighter needs to be cleaned. I use a
wire brush on a dreml - after a while the wheel seems to get full of
something, and the flint won't strike with the same level of spark.
But this has nothing to do with the fluid.

Hi Xak,
I'll second what Mmm said. Just filled my zippos today and the only
thing I noticed was that trademark zippo aroma was no longer there.
It's the first time using the new "recipe".
