I was bombed by temporarily displaced Englishman. Alex is currently in Australia, yet he found time to shower me with gifts. A big bag of smokables <g>, some coffee ("The First Designer Coffee in Australia!"), and a couple packages of fire roasted macadamia nuts. Mmmm, nuts.

Seriously, I tried googling "fire roasted" +"macadamia nuts" and the lot as a complete phrase.
However, when I googled "mickey's nuts" I did get a website listing that starts with, "Co-Owner of Mickey's Nuts and Mouse Balls" Not having the courage to inquire the connection between Mickey's nuts and mouse balls, I just assumed there was nothing.

No you didn't ;)

I always thought that if you googled "Mickey's nuts" Google would reply: "Yep, he shore is!!!"
(Oops, sorry... I thought this was the "island" thread...)

You had me going with the "fire roasted" bit, I thought there was something new in Macadamia world.
Now there will be if I can just find a source of raw macadamia nuts. I will try them roasted over teak, smoked with a selection of woods including; apple, mesquite, oak, rosemary and my favourite, pear.

Do you have any Australian friends? Raw maccas are common over there; every supermarket stocks them.
If not, this may be the excuse for you to take a trip Downunder. As a foodie person, it's a must anyway -- the country is heaven on earth when it comes to good and innovative cuisine.
