The claim that the U.S. government is going to construct a lunar base to
watch for flying saucers approaching Earth...

(I suppose, as former Canadian minister of defence from 1963 to 1967,
Paul Hellyer's political career kept him too busy to watch a lot of TV,
even three years later in 1970.)

will, of course, lead to speculation that it will be largely staffed by
women wearing purple pageboy wigs, as well as using lots of eyeshadow
and artificially lengthening their eyelashes...
