I now feel almost human again, and a couple of hours walking on the Heath has almost removed the nasty taste I had in my mouth after the happenings of last night. Iced up Devon! No sound of traffic, no sign of movement. Snow seems stuck on hedges and trees. Grass is no longer green but white. Winter Wonderland is here and now, but hopefully not for much longer.

There is nothing quite like...

...the sweet hay smell of horses, or the pleasure derived from being nuzzled by one. They make that whinny that tells you they are glad to see you, and "have you got anything for me in your pocket." They can quickly make you forget the minus temperatures and the wheelbarrow that needs to be trudged back to the dung heap.... more »

It gives me so very much satisfaction to know that you and Joy are lonely despirate people who have no one but your miserable selves to keep you company.
