Don't you just love it WTH?
I thought you would say and he absent-mindedly rode to the owner's home.
I never leave a destination called "home" in my SatNav, for obvious
reasons.

Several years ago I lost my mobile phone, somebody found it looked in the
address book, found 'neighbor' and called them, she knocked on my door, I
spoke to the finder on my neighbors phone, and had it back within the hour,

You were lucky, an honest person found it...
Something equally funny:
Some 40 years ago our lady neighbour was rather infatuated with me, and
when her husband was on evening shift and my wife was out with her
friends, she invited me to pop in to see her.
To cut a long story short, nothing much happened, ten year itch, bit of
a cuddle, but while I was in her house there was a slight snowfall.
It was only when I was glancing through the front window later that I
saw my footprints in the snow, leading from their house to mine!
I phoned her and she dashed out and swept their path clear, to be
thanked by her husband for her thoughtfulness.
No harm done... ;-)
That's rather funny, and close to the truth!
