Whatca think?
Callen
She invited family and close friends, only 2 of whom are "names" (Emma
Thompson and her sig. other Greg Wise). So what's wrong with that? She
looked gorgeous and very very happy in all the front page photos in
today's tabs and broadsheets. The wedding was low key, held in the
church her family has attended for years, and the reception was in a
local pub. (Bangers and mash with champagne and Bakewell tart with
custard... very down to earth, very English, very un-Hollywood.) May
they have a long and happy marriage!

Maybe she didn't invite them, particularly Leo, because she knew it would
be even more of a feeding frenzy and less of a wedding.

From your Subject line, I wonder if you have an eating problem. She looks
pretty damn healthy. If you consider that fat, then don't wonder why
anorexia is so prevalent.

I was shocked to read that Cameron was at Leopold's birthday party.
Thought they didn't like each other. I don't think there is any
animosity between Kate and Leo though. I don't think she is
particularly fond of Cameron, based on an interview I read where she
made some quip about "I thought he was going to drown me" or something
like that.
Do you know if there are any wedding pics on the internet? Please post the URL
here. Thanks.
There is a guy in the winslett fan group who claims to have some on
the web. I don't think he gave his url out for some funny reason
though...I only skim most messages though so I might be wrong.
Well, I'm sure the major newspaper sites will reproduce their front page
photos. Go to my news links page
(www.geocities.com/Hollywood/2690/news.html) and check out the Times and
Daily Telegraph. People Mag probably has photos as well. (Link on my
gossip page: ..../2690/gossip.html)
One of the papers reported that she and her new hubby turned down an
offer of 100K sterling from OK Magazine for exclusive rights to the
photos. I like her more and more...
In a very recent interview (in one of the British Sunday newspapers),
Kate Winslet was asked if she still kept in touch with DiCaprio. Her
answer was something like "sporadically". She said she last heard from
him during the summer, while filming on location (India?)--having
received the message that he was "frantic" to get in touch with her.
When she finally reached him, the only thing he was "frantic" about was
which project(s) to pursue, and he wanted her opinion...
From everything I've read, DiCaprio spends most of his non-Hollywood
time in New York, not London.
According to one of the British tabs, both Cameron and Leo were invited but
did not attend due to their "busy schedules". Both sent personal telegrams
congratulating her.

Kate was asked in interview about the rumor that Leo lived close to her in
London (or the alternate rumor where they were planning to share a flat) and
she said that both rumors were complete rubbish.

from the pre-release stories, i think that was a one way thing: leo didnt
like cameron. cameron was recently at a press conference in canada where he
said all the crap about him being angry with leo was pretty much media hype.
he was upset about the quote from 'Rolling Stone' that made it sound like he
was mad at Leo for not attending the Oscars.
as for kate, she tried to take back those comments--the comments were "a
product of exhaustion" and misquoted, misinterpreted statements (which, of
course, brought the call of "Yeah, right"). but there's nothing like a $1.8
Billion gross and pop-culure juggernaut to cure those blues. At the Golden
Globes, Kate seemed very forgiving--at least, she was extremely happy when
Cameron won Best Director (she bear hugged him if i remember correctly)

I don't either. My God! Frankly, as a straight guy, I am SICK of the Kate
Winslet look. It's NOT attractive at all to me. Kate Winslet is drop dead
gorgeous. Not only that, she has that true classic beauty that Audrey Hepburn
had.

Yea but once she squeezes out a couple of kids she will probably
baloon out and lose interest in going on crash diets for movie parts,
which means we may not see her after a few years. Oh well, more power
to her. I really REALLY hope she will be in the Star Wars prequels.
I was just going to leave just "yes" but I have a little time left to
blow. Kate is big-boned and fat. But what is fat? In England, her build
is considered a little above the average. In America, where we worship
looking like a skeleton, she would be considered overweight. Becky, does
it really matter if she is big-boned or fat? It's what's inside that
counts.
