NY DAILY NEWS...RUSH AND MOLLOY

Supermodel Elle Macpherson is said to be canceling public engagements amid
reports that the Aussie Aphrodite is "resting" in Arizona.

Speculation is mounting that "The Body" may be suffering from exhaustion or
postnatal depression after the birth of her second child.

Macpherson, 39, has two sons with her Swiss partner, Arpad Busson: Arpad Flynn,
5, and Aurelius (Cy), 7 months.

In recent weeks she has pulled out of scheduled appearances at Diane von
Furstenberg's new London boutique and the Melbourne Cup, Australia's most
prominent horse race.

Macpherson blamed family commitments for the change of plans. Her sister Mimi,
contacted by journalists in Sydney, declined to comment. Macpherson's
spokesman, Stuart Cameron, did not return the messages we left over the past
five days.

According to our sources, she has checked into The Meadows clinic in
Wickenburg, Ariz., which offers treatment for "psychological conditions and
addictions." It has treated Halle Berry's husband Eric Benet for sex addiction
and U.K. soccer star Paul Gascoigne for alcoholism.

A showbiz reporter for a radio network here in Oz was going on today
about some story that "will break over the next 48 hours" and that
"will almost certainly be front page news" and that he "would talk
about it on Friday, when it will probably be out in the public
domain". blah blah

Shall we make guesses?

I guess......cocaine addiction

I originally thought cancer, but the clinic thing would suggest
otherwise.

The best means of getting rid of postpartum depression are holistic cures. The joys of being a new mother are spoilt completely when the hormonal changes taking place within your body trigger the symptoms of postpartum depression. Statistics show that one in every four mothers is affected by this medical condition, which sets in within the very first week after delivery. It is quite common for these ‘baby blues’ to go away by themselves within a week’s time, however, treatment is necessary if depression lasts for more than a month.
