Singer ART GARFUNKEL has been charged with possessing marijuana again
after police reportedly discovered a joint in the ashtray of his car on
Sunday night (28AUG05).
The 63-year-old was flagged down by police in upstate New York after
he failed to acknowledge a stop sign, and a strong odour of cannabis
surrounded his vehicle when the officers approached it, reports local
newspaper The Daily Freeman Of Kingston.
The BRIDGE OVER TROUBLED WATER star was issued with a ticket and will
attend Woodstock Town Court on 22 September (05).
Garfunkel was charged with marijuana possession in January 2004 when
his limousine was stopped for speeding and investigating officers found
a small amount of cannabis in his jacket pocket.
Garfunkel pleaded guilty to the charges and was ordered to pay a $200
(GBP111) fine. (SC/WNWA)

I am so glad that Bush's war on drugs is working. I will be able to sleep
better tonight. LOL

The only thing I object to here is that it appears Art was using in his
car. Why not go home and smoke? Driving under the influence of
anything just isn't cool. He should KNOW better. Maybe he wanted to be
caught....
