Hiya beloved shoes,

I've been very very absent lately (though lurking in every sense of the
term). I've been bad in missing so many birthdays... Sorry to all! And
happy belated birthday to every shoe who feels it might still apply :) .

The reason for my re-appearance is something I _have_ to report to you:
my new shoes.

Background: The wave of cold weather over much of Europe. Goal: To buy a
warm jacket. Which I didn't manage to do. The first time I came home
with new knickers (from Marks&Spencer), the second time had me drooling
over way to expensive hyper-chic Italian gore-tex-lined-with-genuine-
Polartec(TM)-fleece jackets. After which my feet took over and directed
me right into a shoe store (which fittingly was named "Shoe Store").
After dismissing my favourite brand (Camper -- dreams of Spanish shoes I
only can afford during the sales) and finding Timberland either too
elegant or too rough and too expensive anyway, I found _the_ shoes:
Black, nubuk (retured leather) boots, the shaft ending right above my
ankle, of Italian nationality (Dorotennis), with 3cm of thick flat soles
and lined with some hyper-warm thin and smooth hich-tech stuff.

They have a remarable effect against the cold: Only 4h after I bought
them, the temperatures rose by 15°C. :)

Chris, feet in love

Yes, welcome back! And if you're trying to be more sociable, does
that mean your life is getting a bit less busy?

I'm trying my best. Actually I have to cut back on certain activities
because it's clearly too much, I'm tired and cranky all the time.
