Sometime in the near future I plan on doing a mass-reposting of all of the
stories I have in my archives. Since I know people are presently leaving
school, I'd like some feedback on when people think the best time to do this
would be. Also, since I have almost 1600 stories right now, I would also like
input on how many I should post a day (or, in the other form, how long I
should spread this process out over). Any feedback would be appreciated.

No. By archives, I am referring to those available via the e-mail fileserver
I run. Except for cracking my password, this is the only way to get them.

I'm sorry... I should have said any insightful feedback.

Here are a few hints for you to get the idea:
You take this business too seriously.
We don't need massive reposts (or at least in these quantities).

And think about some numbers:
How many stories are there in the Finnish archive?
How many days does it take to get them given the 100K/day limit?
How many stories can one read in one day?
How many days are there until you graduate?

If you post at 100-500K/day we'll drown in the flow, if you post 2-3
stories/day it will take forever and at any rate we'll see an equal flood
of repost requests with a one-week delay compared to the main stream. If
a few of the stories happen to be under 3K, we'll see the return of
you-know-whom. If any of the stories are in more than one part, we'll
have random reposts of individual parts forever.

What the a.s.s newsgroup needs is the thirty seven chapters of the
Thomas story whenever another repost is requested, until they learn that
there are other ways to get stories except reposting them ad nauseam.

Back when I was in the archiving business, I tried to make about
15 posts at a time (15 including parts of large stories). I
tried to post 2-3 times a week as work allowed me time to do.

(I wish my hard drive hadn't eatten all my files!)
