I get BBC America and unfortunately this program is not aired here.
:(

But thanks a million for posting this link; I thoroughly enjoyed
this!! No pun intended, but they had me on pins and needles to see
who was going home and who was staying.

I have been looking forward to this for ages. I wanted to apply really
but I am not allowed as I am no longer resident in the Uk plus I earn
money from my sewing, boo hoo.

I really enjoyed the mix of people, it's nice to see emphasis put on
fitting. I did feel sorry for the chap who as only ever sewed home
furnishings, I hope he gets a chance to shine soon. Ann is my secret
favourite so far, her good technical skill show up so much. Part two on
Tuesday evening I hope someone You tube's it for everyone else who
can't get Uk Tv. Depending on you time difference it might be possible
to watch it on streaming via filmon.com The schedule is BBC2 on Tuesday
8pm Uk time and I believe there is a repeat on Saturday afternoon evening.

Off to carry on sewing flower related items. It's that time of year
again. I'm getting prepared for my flower market at the end of the
month. Last year we had the theme of Bees , this year the theme is much
harder it's "On the route of saint jaques" this is the pilgrim walk to
Saintiago di Compestella which passes near to us. !!! Brain is still
trying to work out how to combine my clothes , flowers and the theme in
a manner to make the stall attractive . I don't want to make items that
I can't sell.
Hey ho.

Claire...Re: TV program.
Here in the states we have a similiar one called Project Runway
Audrey from southern NY..

We get that on Sky. I haven't seen it for a while. I hope it comes back.
Project Runway it great but more focused on designers and a commercial
or high fashion outcome. The Sewing Bee is a search for the best
amateur sewer which is a great angle to get people interested in sewing.
They did a similar program on baking and have started the sewing one
because of the success of the bake off!!
I prefer the sewing bee, it looks like being a very small/ short series
however as it's already at the semi final after 2 episodes. I guess they
are testing the waters.

Ok! I finally got to see episode 2 and very good! They do make me a
nervous wreck though and I can almost sense the pressure they are
under. I'm ready for episode 3!

OK! I finally got around to seeing episode 3 and as usual I was a
nervous wreck. You'd think I was the one in this competition I get so
carried away. Very good show and soooo interesting! I'm looking
forward to the final show and to see who is crowned the best.

I know, I was shouting at the television at times. No 1 son came home in
time to see me watching the final. much rolling of eyes when he saw the
subjet matter of the rpogram folled by This is quite interesting 10
mins later!! Boys. i think it was the explanations of fit and patterns
that appealed to him.
Here's the final.
