Just taking a break, feeling overwhelmed.

Just posting here in order to take a break from the slog of cutting out
and sewing I am currently in the middle of.
Christmas approaches and I am trying to have enough stock to fill two
stands for the end of November!!! I feel as if I am loosing the battle
at the moment. I have made some 20 reversible fleece jackets to complete
the stock I already have, children's as always that's what I try and
stick to, but still have 7 left to finish.
If it all goes Ok I should have enough items left from stocking 2 stands
to see me through to the end of the christmas markets, if not even
better I suppose, I might be glad to run out of stock but that doesn't
seem a good option right now. I have to put up a 4 day stand at the end
of November which is tended by a charitable organisation, they take a
percentage of the sales for helping children in Asia and I man(woman) a
stand my self the same weekend. Then I have a stand each weekend in a
different place until the 21st December.
I have started cutting out the new reversible dungarees yesterday in the
late afternoon, I got 3 pairs all cut out and 3 pairs half cut out, in
that I have cut one side but need to cut the reverse side out. I need to
cut out and make a total of 14 pairs in all I think. The 6 pairs I
started yesterday in jumbo cord and cotton stripe and the rest in denim
and printed cotton. Then I must start on the dresses, I have found a
lovely mauve/pink needle cord which will mix well with a purple denim
that I found for the reverse, also a good electric blue which should
look well with the chocolate velvet. Need to do about 30 dresses in all
I think, especially small ones as I only have one 6-12month sized dress
left on the stand, clearly there are more little ones around this year .
Last year it was the 3 - 4 year old size that caught me out, always
something I guess.
Then I must, must, must think about the hats, reversible it goes without
saying. Sometimes I think I am becoming Mrs reversible!!!May even turn
inside out myself one of these days. Still if that's what sells.
Well now I have written that lot out it's a lot clearer in my mind
anyway, thanks for listening while I sorted my mind out, back to the
scissors.

You might find it both quicker and less hard on your hands if you used a
rotary cutter and layered up the fabric so you were cutting 2 or 3 sets
at a time. You do end up needing a BIG cutting mat area (I now have 4
of the largest size!), but it really does speed the cutting and help the
hands.
It sounds like you are doing well. I've more or less given up the craft
fair stuff, but I do remember making 15 waistcoats with working welt
pockets in one week! So best speed and good luck to you. :)

Getting there slowly, I cut out 14 pairs of dungarees yesterday and made
up 2 reversible jackets and 3 pairs of dungarees.
I'm not going to be so productive today as I have to go to the big town
1 Hour away and choose some new eye-wear, 1st time I've done it in
france as I usually wait 'till I visit the Uk for the 2 for the price
of one offers. Eye-wear is very expensive here so it will be an
experience, at least I will see how far the health insurance will take
me!!! Hoping for something that helps me see where I am going and looks
grown up.
