I decided to buy a new sewing machine! I have decided that I want to
try to find a moderately priced machine with embroidery functions. I
would like to stay under $500 if possible.

Does anyone here use the Brother SE350? Do you like it? Do you
recommend a different machine?

Have you looked at online reviews:

"moderately priced" combo machine? IMHO, a $500 machine
*might* be okay for sewing, but would be unlikely to produce
high quality embroidery. My Singer Quantum XL5000 sews and
embroiders, but I keep it set up for embroidery only because
I have three (48-year-old)Singer 401As for real sewing. The
XL5000 was over $2500 on sale when it was closed out for the
newer model four years ago.
