Hey guys. I'm a recovering AFC and i've really
made some good progress. I don't get nervous
around new girls anymore and i actually enjoy the
pickup game.
However, i still don't know what the fuck i'm
doing in clubs. What am i supposed to do? Chicks
are always there with other chicks or guys. When
i try talking to them, usually they either have
no interest in talking with me, or if they're
alone at the moment, they just do most of the
talking and then lose interest in me. Should i be
doing most of the talking? Am i supposed to just
have a brief opening and go off on a tangent with
stories? Should i have a lot of stories memorized
ahead of time and entertain the group and people
in general? The music is usually so loud that i
have to scream to talk. Should i just be in areas
that are less noisy? I wish i could see a PUA in
action as there are none that i know of in UC
Santa Barbara.

There's lots of good threads on this newsgroup about club pickups,
especially in the last four or five months. Try out Formhandle's
search engine (http://www.fastseduction.com) on the string "club",
and you'll see (I hope these are fair paraphrases) that

1. many guys dismiss clubs as a viable venue AT ALL, because of
several reasons; or at least, dismiss them as viable for RAFCs,
given that they're like a minefield of several reasons:

a. bitch-shields are higher
b. flashy style is more prevalent: you are judged on your dancing
and your clothing
c. too noisy to talk successfully
d. women are used to getting hit on, responding positively, and
then totally doing an about-face at the end of the evening (read:
YOU GET LEAD ON)
e. did I say too noisy to talk successfully?
f. phenomenally intimidating "crowd" atmosphere is a difficulty for
some AFCs
g. cockblocking UGs are more likely to PRESUME you are a "bad
thing" for their HB friends BECAUSE they met you at a club
h. no possibility to figure out "similar interests" since the only
thing that you have in common was the fact that you both wanted to
"go out"

There are more good reasons that nobody thinks you'll get laid at a
club.

On the contrary, clubs are also considered (I hope again that this
is a fair paraphrase) an excellent BOOT CAMP for AFCs, given
exactly the same reasons. As long as you don't care if you get
some or get rejected, then it's sort of like newbie-mission number
two, to visit clubs. After newbie-mission number one (say hello to
all the women you meet, perpetually, approaching as many as 100 a
day), you can use clubs to "inure" yourself to approaching, and to
getting rejected.

Further on the contrary, most of the real PUAs on this newsgroup
have plenty of success in clubs. That's where the hot women go, who
will fuck a PUA at the drop of a PUA's hat. Do you have a PUA's hat
to drop? Then go to a club.

Nope. I don't know. That's a complicated question. There are lots
of factors - where are you most comfortable? where are you most
likely to meet chicks who will give THE SORT OF GUY that you appear
to be, a ready audition? where are you most likely to get laid?
where are the hot go-ers in your area? Most important, what are YOU
doing to make each of these venues a likely venue for you? You
don't wear the same outfit to the ballgame, the museum, and the
disco, do you? Well, do you act the same in each of them?

From my reading classic seduction theory, street PUs
seem to be easier, as there are less frequent occurrences
of cockblocks and the woman's guard is frequently
not as up so much. Also, competition is not as thick
as it would be in a bar/club environment.

I found that a bar/club environment was good for only
one thing, dancing, which can of course lead to some
good kino if the cards are played right. At frat
parties I was the only guy who wanted to dance and
several girls would come up and 'grind' with me ...
as I was a AFG (average frustrated guy, but not a
chump, there is a difference in my book) I didn't
know where to proceed from there. Ah well. Such is
life. I imagine a large % of them were teasing but
even if only 20% were not ...

One thing I want to say about what makes clubs so
GREAT, is the fact that you can do things that
normally you couldn't do in other settings. Hitting
on chicks is expected, and they are there to have a
fun, good time.
This could mean, that you can be whatever you wanna
be! You can be a movie star, a stand up comic, a
psychic, whatever, and be (almost) as wild and
crazy as you wanna be! It is the time when you can
let the star inside of you SHINE and you can be

Last Wednesday I was at a cowboy bar (I live in Arizona) for dance
lessons. Sure the dance lesson crowd was not PU material, but after
that is ladies night and wham bam! the place was packed!!! If
you 'watch' the women, and what they're doing, it's fairly easy to see
who's alone or with their girlfriend, or getting hit on with luck / no
luck. Just observe your targer for a little bit and you'll learn
volumes.
I spotted this woman, while I was taking my lessons, (always sarging,
are you???) just standing by a table, all by herself, about a 8/7 and
NOBODY was paying her any attention. So after my lessons I got my drink
(prop) & just walked up to her and said 'so...what do you think of the
dance lessons???'. (sounds like a stupid line, but I just walked up to
her with NO hesitation and that's what came out) That opened the door
for more talk, which went to her being with me the rest of the night
with some great kino / kissing / etc. I used some of the SS techniques
here and I swear to God, she just kept saying : 'are you for real???
you're the man of my dreams...etc'. Yes, it could've turned out the
other way, where she rejected me, BFD. But she said she gets out only
once every 3 weeks. You better believe I gave her a fun night out. And
remember, if I hesitated, or thought myself out of going over and
talking to her, she and I would not have had the great time we did. So
don't be selfish. Go over there and give her a good time!!!
   A funny thing happened when she took off to the powder room, I was
getting hit on by this asian chick pretty hard. Damm. (love that social
proof) I didn't want to jepardize the first babe I was with (you know
how women can be), so I told the asian chick I come there,...every
wednesday, and I'll see her next week. Gotta take advantage of all
offers, even when you've got one on the line. (does it pay to be out on
the dance floor, grinding with your woman, when other women can see
you??? Hell yes!!!)
  So pick your target at the bars, and work them. Good things could
come, out of it. And also, don't discount the chance meeting, where you
accidently bump into a babe, and not work her. You've just made
contact, so go for it!!!
  And by the way, getting her phone # after talking to her was no
problem. I told her I'd call her the next day AND did. She said she was
surprised I called because 'most guys' don't. I told her I wasn't like
most guys. Moral of the story. I you say you're gonna call, do it, the
next day, to keep the vibe going. They are probably waiting by the
phone for your call, or at least in their minds they are.

Hmm, I've read how Mystery & NYC have both different techniques. Read
them. It'll brighten you up!
As for my own advice...I don't like talking much.
But I'm always doing this shit:
I usually pick a girl who is dancing. I'll pass by, looking for space
to dance. I can rely on my looks, so girls start checking immediately.
If I got eye-contact, I usually smile, wait for her to smile, then look
around to see if I should stay here or look somewhere else to dance. I
got this look on my face like: Show me what you've got. By now the girl
starts dancing like hell. 2 options here:
1-If I like it and she likes it too, I'll stay.
2-If her face starts hanging and she's like, what? I'm looking for
another spot. No shit here coz I'm just looking for a spot...

If 2 happens..I walk. Smiling at the broad..you ain't all that, that's
why I'm checkin'it out somewhere else..
If 1 happens, I'll take the invitation and dance. 90% of my hits
started out like this, coz I don't like yelling..
I'll dance with her..at times coming closer of move away to see if she
indeed wants to keep dancing with me. At times saying something in her
ears. (Just to smell the D&G!) In most cases she's ready to be
conquered, if you want to talk and break the magic, that is. I
usually 'play' with her to see what I can afford to do and what not.
And still not a decent convo! Just kino her, if she doesn't like it,
she'll put your hand away. If she likes it, keep it going and do the
next
step. I usually end up grinding, and when she's up close, I'll stroke
her cheeks, lift her head if she's looking down. Then I smile and let
the noses touch. Usually she starts to kiss!! I hurried a chick once
with that and she kept her mouth closed!! That image is still in my
HEAD!!
So I 'just walked by', she made her herself wanted and I grabbed the
bait. (that's what she thinks)
It works for me, but you must have that really, really confident and
arrogant look (All you chicks must check me!). She'll think you would
never have hit on her, coz you
didn't intend to check her out in the firts place.(she thinks)
