Hi, I'm new to this NG. I've never thought that picking up could be taken so
seriously, even scientifically. I always thought that picking up should be
as spontaneous as possible. Anyway, as much as I can see there are some real
PUAs out there.

Two days ago I was at the birthday party. This is part of the conversation I
had with a chick. I would like to hear some comments. (Sorry but I'm not a
native english speaker. This whole thing sounds much better in croatian.):

me: That excludes you, though. ( a NEG hit??)
she: ???? (speechless, almost horrified look on her face)
me: Just kidding :))). (she looks relieved, satisfied smile on her face)

the story continues with me taking her to the bedroom. About an hour of
heavy petting but no sex.

It sounds to me like an implied statement of intent, yes, and her reaction
seems to say that's how she took it too.

Her reaction also made it seem like if she was willing to go to the bedroom
with you then you should have been fucking.

That is definately an SOI - you made it clear that when you find a woman

the 'that excludes you though' would be a neg. I'm assuming that's the part
that translates better in Croation. In english it would come off as an
insult. Remember that a neg is not an insult, its a neutral statement that

It definitely would have been a clear SOI, and you've followed the 101
pattern. Textbook execution too.

Good move of shifting straight to bedroom after this, I would have done the
same because if you didn't very soon after, you would have teased her.
Unfortunately you let her get the better of you when she refused sex. Then
your congruency went out the window and your SOI looked pretty shit then.

Hi people, I would just like to say how glad I am you all replyed.
I would also like to explain things further.
The party was held in a quite small flat with only two bedrooms so when we
entered the room there were already two other couples making out on the bed.
Even I felt uncomfortable with them in the same room, let alone her. So we
mutually decided not to have sex this time. My parents are going out of town
this weekend so I'm going to invite her to come over (I'm 18 and I don't
have a place of my own). I hope we will do some real stuff this time ;).
