Clearly the HDD must store a password in some form and in
some way so that the keyed-in password can be compared to
the original one.
The "sophisticated forensic software" will not find the
password because if it is not on the HDD, but how can I
arrange things to store the hash file on the removable flash
drive and so keep it off the HDD?
Please help, Peter
A removeable flash drive is a lot lot easier to steal than a hard disk.
And if you use reasonable passwords, those password crackers are simply
not going to work.
Just because something is called "sophisticated forensic" does not mean
it is worth much.
Ie, you are expending your security worried in the wrong place.
