I ran into a guy in New Orleans who had one of those Chinese engines
which converts a bike into a scary thing. He had been riding his for
6 months with no problems, but he did say that he had a lot of
problems in the beginning with gaskets, etc. His is around 60 cc (he
thought) and goes 40 mph but he never rides over 30 mph. He got it
for less than $200. Any other experiences out there?

I just checked e-bay and they are practically giving these things
away. It make you suspicious. The one that looks best to me is the
Stinger which is a bit more than the rest ($150) but they seem to be a
big outfit and claim they carry the parts. I'm thinking of giving one
to my son for his 15th birthday. It would be a good project for both
of us to work on. Again, I would like to hear about experiences.
