That's what they told me I need (no labor!) for my 150cc Chinese
clone.

Here they cost much cheaper...

Well, it's something special (discontinued model?) or just autopart
stock?

Thanks!

But what scooter uses a 24 volt or 36 volt bulb?

Also what good is 10 watts and how does something like that pass a DOT
inspection? I've seen a few CCS that had headlights no brighter than my
license plate light but I thought something was just screwed up with the
electrical system. And I thought my Elite 150 was just barely acceptable @
60 watts!

I think 35 may be the lowest you can go and still be legal. My Elite 150 is
55 watt low beam and 60 watt high (halogen). Stator is 203 watts which is
pretty impressive. There's also stereo power connectors for the optional
Kenwood Hondaline stereo, so Honda gave it power to spare.

This is from a scooter we used to sell at IBA-USA. All lond as it meets DOT
specs for brightness I don't think there is a min. wattage to be legal.

Is there something really special about that bulb that gives it a lot of
candle power at only 15 watts? Will it provide enough light on a dark
country road while doing 60 mph?

I've just never seen a filament bulb rated less than 35 watts on an American
vehicle. I know that was the standard wattage for the old 2 and 4 headlight
round bulbs dating back to the 60s on cars.
I guess now they would have to go with candle power ratings due to HID
headlights and LEDs in the tail/brake/turn signals.

That bulb is from a 49cc 4 stroke, The only way that would go 60 mph is in a
trailer.

Honda C70's (Passports) use a 12v 25/25w, C50 SuperCubs used a 6v 15/15w.

Neither performs anywhere near at automotive levels, even when revved up.

I guess the only way to find out is to take it out and see. I hope it
doesn't happen like when kids don't know how to put together the toys
they took apart. ;)

It has two headlights though and the other one still works.
