objection being the significantly worse acceleration and fuel economy
performance compared to say my Honda Dullsville (which also has more
storage than most scoots). CVT technology has a ways to go.
But if I was looking in the mid-size class, I would likely choose
between the Majesty and Burgman 400 based on which local dealer I liked
better (since test rides are near impossible to come by).
N.b. I am not a scooter hater - my regular commuter/shopping bike is a
Honda Elite 110.

The integrated panniers on the Deauville are kind of cool; sort of

along the concept of the Honda Pacific Coast bikes with the flip-up
trunk. Too bad Honda didn't try scaling this idea down in motorbike
form; the Helix scooter seems to have been the closest approximation,
at least here in the US.

etc, compared to a similarly hefty but much lower Silver Wing. Have not
heard much about the DCT (automatically operated dual clutches and
conventional motorcycle transmission) equipped Honda Integra
maxi-scooter (which sadly is not imported to the US), but the same
engine and transmission have received positive reviews on the NC700
motorcycle. Maybe this power-train will show up on an updated Silver
Wing in the near future?
