OK, if you had the ability to travel through time, would you consider it to
go grocery shopping?
That is, are there certain products from past decades that have been
discontinued & you miss, and would gladly pick up at a grocery store of the
past?
Some items I might pick up: (these are American products)

Marathon Bar (the curled caramel, dipped chocolate bar that lasts a good
long time)

Irish Spring (they changed the formula in 1986, making it less invigorating,
announcing the change in formula with a TV ad featuring, not a manly man,
but some pipsqueak wimp with glasses, touting the new "skin conditioners" to
put "more shower in your shower"; when I called the company to inquire why
the once-manly soap had been wimpified, their response was so it would
appeal to housewives more b/c they were the ones who did most of the
shopping.).

Heinz 57 sauce (formula changed in 1985, made sweeter and less bold, less
hearty).

Coke from before the formula change in 1985, before the Classic Coke in 1985
(to compare with modern-day classic Coke.

Are there any other products you would pick up in the grocery store of the
Past?

That is stupid. My ol' lady, when shopping, buys me manly things because she
likes them on me.

However, you may not need to go back in time.

I have find things there I can no longer find on the shelves.

Rhondo!!

This Coke-product was test marketed 1977-1979 in Missouri and Florida.
For 25 cents it was pure heavenly nectar. Now it doesn't exist.

A paradox with this...

No doubt you will go back to buy this product a lot within this 2 year
period. If you did this you'd probably make the test a success which
would mean it would roll-out to other areas and you wouldn'e be
posting this message about going back to buy it...

I would love to have a Surge soda. From what I've read, Vault is the
replacement for Surge, but it just doesn't have that proper green hue
that is necessary for people to fight in the mud over.

I went back to 1996 to buy Surge soda on a different world line. I even
drank it with myself.
