Amazing. Bullying also has this effect. I already knew that violence,
whether
physiological or psychical, shortens the lifespan of people
statistically, on
account of accidents, self-destructive living, etc., but I didn't know
that it
actually shortens the telomeres.

This makes one think of whether violence, harassment, and bullying
aren't in
fact methods of slow war, i.e. to shorten the lifespan of people who
are not
genetically or morphologically related, while increasing the lifespan
of people
to whom one is related, by way of friendly relations.
