My local arena is earth of those who have access to the modern
telephone communication network and want to have telephone text
conversation. The earth where we live is full of personal problems of
people most of which are quite small and quite easily solved but some
are big and very difficult to solve.
We live here -the whole mankind - with different outlooks and
opinions. First I advise you to be critical not skeptic.
In Finland skeptic society consists of adamantly religious one -eyed
aggressive fanatics that don't want to hear anything concerning
science or truth.
Creationistc community in Finland is totally open to any person who
will meet the world scientifically. They are not afraid of truth.
They are not thinking the world only with four or six colours but with
millions of nuances trying to understand complexity of the universe
and the life of human beings.
They feel humble before the hugeness of not only universe but also the
Earth. You think that such a huge city than Helsinki with million
people is impossible, but when we compare Helsinki to the size and
resources of the earth it is a very little village.
But for human beings vastnesses are totally beyond imagination.
The evaluation of the size of mankind is difficult problem. Accurate
statistics is only in very few western countries, in most
countries numbers are inflated.
Years ago I visited a synagoge. It was presented by a man more of
manual work than teacher or rabbi. He said that "all over the world
there are pictures but in this room here is only wiritings".
"Come near, put off your shoes from your feet, for the place on which
you are standing is Holy."
In ancient times in many synagoges shoes were not used. To meet
someting far above human being means Holiness.
It cann't be described by nothing. It is the fighting or wrestling
place of hassids, pietist ad righteous people. They are not
doing any harm to nobody in their fight -vice verse. Their holy war is
something that is difficult to understand outside the world of
hassids. Their battlefield is to try to know and meet God. They
however are not stupid not to know that the earth is full of wars,
quarrels ,squabbles and mostly futile suffering of innocent people.
They live with two worlds with
world of God that is very hard to imagine, and the world of everyday
life. In many ways ordinary citizens can be hassids in some way -to
looking vastness of stars in the sky, to looking the wonderfulness of
human beings in all its compexities.
To thinking physical reality with its natural laws and why however it
works so well. To thinking such things beyond human capacity as
sabbath or pessach.
Greek philospher Sokrates was condemned to death and he said that he
is not afraid because a person who has done its best for justice in
his life cann't be accused by nobody whether it be leadership by the
city of Athens or God himself.
The problem of life is a miracle as well. The only right way is to
focus on world peace that beauty queens understand.
It is easily said but contrary very difficult. But that is the way
that we must focus.
