Low frequency noise - hum sufferers

If you know any Hum Sufferers out there, they may be interested to look at

This introduces our new project on helping people to cope with noise
problems which cannot be solved technically.
For example, the Hum which plagues some people. Or noises which meet their
criteria, but still cause upset.

The work is supported by UK government departments, but we can take a few
participants from outside the UK. So, if you know anybody who might be
helped, please let them know about the project.

I read your Defra report and it made interesting reading. I can
remember media reports of nausea being caused at 19Hz(no Db mentioned)
but your graph seemed to rule out a spike at that frequency.
Also interesting was your adult male chest resonance figure of 50Hz at
107Db .I have experienced something similar.....part of the visceral
experience of going to a live concert...common to here the comment "I
could feel my chest move !".
At my house in a quiet Canberra suburb,double glazing is remarkably
effective at reducing most frequencies although a deep "V-8"engine
throb will still penetrate.
