Hi guys, I am totally new in this group and in probability theory in
general. Nevertheless, I have been reading a bit this last months and
I was wondering one thing:

Can I truncate discrete probability distributions??? Is there anything
wrong at doing that???

I simply cannot see the problem at truncating discrete variables'
probability distributions in the same way that it is done with
continuous variables' probability distributions, i.e., dividing the
probability distribution by the cumulative probability of the interval
of interest.

Thanks for help...

Why should this be a problem?
