Subject: magellan 1470/1475 vs. Garmin 1490 vs. ma
Hey all

which model is the better one?

Magellan 1470 or 1475 or Garmin 1490.

both of the magellans are 4.7" whereas the  garmin model is 5"

with regards to the 1470/1475 models, are they basically the same, but
the latter having traffic link support?

is traffic link worthwhile getting?

both seem to have some minor/major issues.

I see that there are some complaints about Garmin 1490's lack of map
detail something the 765 series did not have a problem with.  is map
detail that important?  I suppose it helps to know the name of the cross
street.

However, I see that magellan is releasing a 7" model in 2 weeks.

if I read its specs right, it has a a/v outlet, can one plug in a backup
camera in to this device?

We have this new thing called 'bifocals'.  Makes it possible to see both
distant and near stuff.  Check it out.
