Aera 510 problems

I have a problem with my Aera 510 freezing intermittently usually but not always on start up. I get to the initial Garmin logo and that's as far as I get. The only way to fix it is to remove the battery for 8 hours or so and try again. It happens intermittently and I can't relate it to anything. Occasionally, but less often, it will freeze in flight.... more »

Garmin and Linux wine emulator?

Hello, I'm running Ubuntu Linux 11.04 and the wine Windows emulator works well for almost all my needs in that operating system.
I'd like to know if anyone has met with success using EasyGPS, MapSource et. al. from within Linux using wine, please?
I have a MapGPS 76Csx.

2450 Routing ?

My Garmin 2450 gives a route from point "A" (Home) to point "B".
Fine, and then I would like to go from point "B" back to point "A"
(Home) on the same roads, but, my 2450 gives a somewhat different
route almost every time. Settings are "Shortest Time".

260 -> 255 -> next ?

We originally bought the Garmin 260 and it was/is great for our basic needs.
Next we acquired the 255, which has a little better screen layout and info icons.
Still using both - and have updated the maps in the 255,
but now the time has come for a decision on the 260....
Do we just update the maps from 2008 for $49,... more »

Was passing eastbound through Birmingham yesterday (Tues May 22) and couldn't get any FM traffic info on my nuvi. All was fine once I got to Georgia.
Anyone else have problems in 'Bama yesterday?
