nuvi 2995LMT 'Map data is not available" error

I tried to enter a new route on my nuvi 2995LMT and when I click on 'Address' I get an error saying 'Map data is not available". It still routes properly to all my saved locations but I can't enter any new routes. When I first got the satnav I did a map up date and it installed the new map onto a mico SD card. Its been working fine up until now. Does anyone know... more »

Hello ,
Having trouble with reading the screen not enough brightness or contrast, screen quite faint. Is there some kind of reset to fix this or a trip to Garmin for a refirb.

I copied the following from a car group and it makes no sense to me.
Is he right?
"I bought a Garmin 2610 GPS when it was the top of their line. The
list price was about $1,000 and the street price that I paid was
about $800. A year later they changed the map format and renamed the

StreetPilot 2720 Glitch

Ok, you're probably thinking "StreetPilot 2720! What's a guy still doing with that?" Well, I've used it for years on my motorcycle, and although my new Gold Wing has a very competent built-in Garmin GPS, the old SP 2720 still does stuff the built-in unit doesn't (mileage logs, statistics, elapsed time, e.g.). Do you think that Peer-to-Peer, FTP
IRC technologies etc...are too much complicated !? There is a simpler technology to use, Autosend. This software allows file-sharing by only using your e-mail account. Autosend allows sharing files on your computer through regular email. It is an automatic file mailer... more »

Garmin Express indicates map update available but it's already installed.

Garmin Express tells me there is a map update available (Full Coverage of North America (2013.40)) for my nuvi 1450 but that update is already installed. When this happened the first time, I let it re-install the update; now I'm getting the update available indication again. The only issue might be that my map is installed on the plug-in flash memory card... more »

HELP! Lost worldwide basemaps on GPS 60CSx

Hi,
I need help with my GPS 60CSx, I'm a novice at map updates and I managed to delete the worldwide routable highway base maps Oct 2003, using Mapsource! My intention was to add AUS Shonkymaps to my existing map data.
I've been reading through forums and know understand about gmapbmap.img, gmapsupp.img, using gmaptool to combine gmapsupp sets together as 60CSx only reads one file.... more »
