FOR SALE...

...with OEM leather case, power cord, original box, and mount with 2
cradles. The latest operating software was just installed last night. Of
course, it has 2008 maps and you'd need to buy the latest maps if you feel
you need them. It finds everything as it is.

It is in excellent cosmetic condition but has developed an intermittent
issue in "locating satellites". It works most of the time, but not all. I
believe the flip-up antenna may have developed a loose wire in it. So, if
you're handy and willing to experiment, you can get a great deal.

I'm asking $75.00, including USPS Priority Shipping to the 50 states. But
don't be afraid to send me an offer. Sometimes, the simplicity of the deal
comes before the dollar amount. In other words, make it easy and I'll take
less. Payment by Paypal is fine. Of course, the deal is final- no returns.

It would be far best to email me directly at crothmanAToptonlineDOTnet as
opposed to posting here. Thanks.

New ones that work every time with a factory warranty can be had for
less
http://www.megagps.com/?gclid=CKaY0p_ytK0CFcfe4AodOF68OQ
Starting at $66.

I paid $400 for my 350 when new, but I gave it away when I upgraded a
few months ago. Amazing how the value goes down on electronics.

I didn't actually check the current price for one, just took a stab. But
with all due respect, your advertised ones are most likely refurbs with a
"recertified warranty" (their words), and the seller doesn't say what they
come with for the advertised price. So, for example, are the case, car cord,
windshield mount, and external charger included? I'll bet you not- that by
the time they get through with you, you'll be nickel and dimed for a lot
more than $66.

For example, they're selling the windshield dash mount for $17.00 alone. My
unit comes with that. Again, I'll bet that advertised price doesn't include
that part.

Also note that the large words FREE SHIPPING are qualified by the smaller
words "on orders over $200". I'm including shipping in my sale- they're not.
Add at least $10 more onto that $66.

Add up the car cord, the charger, the windshield mount, and the OEM case,
and the shipping and I think you'll find those items alone are worth close
to the price I'm asking.

That's a sucker's site, designed to loss-lead you into their net. I know
your intentions were good, and you are right about electronics losing value,
but again with due respect, I do suggest you study the things that you post
more before you step on a guy's selling toes.

Sorry for the seemingly double post, but for some reason it took a long time
for the first ad to show up in the n.g.

That might be a little harsh since the recertified unit is likely to
work the same as a new one, and comes with a warranty to that effect,
while yours is admittedly broken and comes with no warranty, no
return. If I was in the market, I know which way I'd go.

Nope, I've bought from them. Yes, they have some refurbs as well as
new. Every price range from $65 has something to offer. A sucker is
someone that buys a unit that knowingly has problems and comes with no
warranty at all.

Funny thing is, you are selling a used unit that may or may not work,
but want to buy a cradle and it must be in pristine condition. At
least you provided a good laugh.

BTW, I have a Pentium computer for sale. $3500 new but I'll et it go
for $3000. Interested?

I will stand corrected by the both of you then. It wasn't my intention to
debate the matter. I think it bothers me when someone places a FS ad and
someone else counter-posts an opinion about where people can "do better".
But such is the nature of the unmoderated newsgroups.

It was my thought that I might find the right person who knows exactly
what's wrong, knows how to fix it, and feels it's a good deal (don't forget
that I did say "make me an offer"). People should always choose the
direction they feel most comfortable with.

Not to beg the issue, but I'd like to know the conditions of that
"recertified warranty", who is backing it and what hoops you have to jump
through to get it honored.

Anyway, apologies all around. No harm, no foul.

What are you asking for the 350 with a 3.5" screen, an outdated 2008

no warranty or returns? $75?

Garmin refurb units come complete with everything the new ones come
with, including new documentation and even a new box.
I bought my last 5 refurbed GPS's from Amazon.

Ok, I don't want to turn this into a pissing contest, nor did I want my ad
to get so sidetracked, but that is common fare on newsgroups. But, what I
don't get is that your very same 1490LMT is available on Amazon as a BRAND
NEW unit for $149 with free shipping, so WHY would anyone pay $147 for a
refurb??? You can't possibly be needing to save $2.00 that badly, can you?
Or do you not yet realize you've been ripped off?

I just bought a BRAND NEW Garmin 2350LMT for the same $149.00 on Amazon, so,
again, why would you want to buy a refurb for what amounts to the same price
(yes, I undrstand my unit doesn't have bluetooth, but that's an inexpensive
option on many of thr Garmins, not rumored to work well either, and not a
feature I need).

I feel silly for getting down in the gutter with you, but you are just
living proof that these "refurb" sales are a sucker's business. I do hope
you're happy with your purchase, but it's my opinion that you failed to
research your own purchase (well, you did "save" $2). I don't think it's YOU
who should be suggesting to me as to how to conduct business.

On the other hand, my ad is legit and states exactly what I'm offering and
what's wrong with it. If people think the price is too high, or they can do
better in another way, they should just do that and not talk so much about
it. My ad was not meant to be offensive, no one is hurt by the ad and no one
is forced to buy anything. I've also explained that I threw the ad out there
as an experiment and had not yet researched value at the time. I also know
that newsgroups like this one almost never produce buyers, mostly
self-righteous know-it-alls, but it's where I go to get some ideas before I
put my ads on eBay where, you'll find, my selling success rate is very high
and my feedback score is 100%. I'm not going to keep apologizing for placing
an ad which some of you seem so self-righteously indignant about. It really
seems childish after awhile. Some of you seem to know what you're doing.
Keep doing it then.

Just to keep you up to date, my Garmin did sell on eBay, just as described.
The buyer received it and, lo and behold, THANKED me for the opportunity. He
loves it! I made enough money to have made it worth the ad time, I didn't
have to take it and throw it out, and I scored another positive feedback for
myself.

I don't know what your business success rate is Ed, but perhaps you should
watch and listen more than you talk. Taking such a negative and cynical
point of view is counter-productive to you. There is a chance that you
really DON'T know what you're talking about. Keep that in mind.

For those of you who are more open-minded, and perhaps a bit more ambitious
about conducting business than Ed seems to be, my advice is that there is
usually a buyer for almost anything. A little patience, and a lot of honesty
in describing what you're selling goes a long way in making a successful
deal with someone. Or, you can do what Ed does, just give up and throw
everything away without trying. Or try being a wise-guy by selling your old
computer for $3500... ;-)

Enough said on the subject.

A few years ago a UK TV show tried the old saying by selling some old rope,
found by beachcombing, on eBay!

A while back a guy was selling a pair of muffler bearings for $85. Gone
now, I guess he sold them :-)

Blow it out your ass Carl. Read what I wrote and don't make stuff up.
Rather than sell my 350 at an exorbitant price, I gave it away, no
charge, to a person that had no chance of affording a GPS.

Sorry that getting every nickel possible is your goal. Mine is to
help others when I can.

I actually knew that everything you do comes from altruism. And you also
seem to live by the adage "live and let live", which is why you chose to be
disrespectfully opinionated about my initial post to sell the Garmin.

If you don't like the fight, don't start one. Be a polite internet citizen.
You are being disingenuous in any case Ed. You weren't trying to "help
others" when you decided to trash my efforts to sell the Garmin. You were
being mean-spirited and showing your true natural nature. Be real with
yourself.

I made a comment and gave my opinion. You started a fight because you
did not like it; that's OK. I told the truth, but you told lies
about what I said. I don't really care what your opinion of me is,
but please don't resort to making up stuff and telling lies. Your

Bev, how hard is it to find good set of used muffler bearings? When you
find something like that, you grab it. Don't waste any time haggling. :-)

I'm looking for a rusty set of struts no.
