Help yourself to a serving of cake and ice cream!

So how is the wireless stuff working?

We are having some kind of storm here, seas are up to 19 feet and wind
gusts may hit 90 MPH. Glad I am ashore!

Cheers,

Jack

I've been personna non grata or something with teranews for some time
now, nothing I post ever shows up on the newsgroups. But I make one
mistaken post and they pop it right through. Sheesh!

I'm floundering around a little on newsgroup access since my ISP
discontinued newsgroups support. I'd like to find something reliable
for low volume, ASCII only, access to a few groups. Anyone have any
suggestions?

It is kind of ironic that the porn slingers and perverts, who have their
own little binary cesspools to play in, have somehow managed to kill off
free (or included in the basic cost) access to one of the oldest and
must constructive facets of the Internet, the ASCII newsgroups.

It happens. Or spit happens. Something like that.

nntp.aioe.org

I've seen some servers that filter this, due to occasional bursts of spam
that take advantage of the open server, but it seems to work for the most
part.

I have used http://news.motzarella.org/ for about a year now. No problems
yet. All free.

Thanks Kristian and Mary, I'll give those a try.

Suggest you have a look at Anchor Dudes:
http://www.newsgroupservers.net/

You might find a free server there.
